A long story short, Aarsland furniture factory is one of the country's leading suppliers of high-quality office and school furniture. We have local production in Vigrestad on Jæren. Today, the fourth generation runs the furniture factory. For more than a hundred years, the Aarsland family has passed the business on from generation to generation. In 1922, Erik J. Aarsland started a furniture workshop together with his brother, where they made everything the customer wanted - from rocking chairs to wheelbarrows and entire dining rooms. When the war came, the Germans took the factory as a residence, but in 1946 Erik J. started up again together with his son Sigbjørn. This year, the first writing desk was also produced at Vigrestad, for the customer Kontorartikler in Stavanger.
